Q:
Are you hiring right now?

A: Insomnia Coffee Co./Dapper and Wise Roasters are always accepting new applications! We may not always have any open positions available right away but when we do - we will review all applications and reach out to schedule interviews.

Q: Where can I find a list of current job openings?

A: A list of current job openings can be found here. A complete list of all jobs, filled and available positions, can be found here. Even if a position is not open at the moment, feel free to fill out an application anyway. Your app will be early on our list to review!

Q: When can I expect to hear back regarding scheduling an interview?

A: Our response times to applications are not immediate. We understand that is not ideal but our goal is to connect with eligible applicants and schedule interviews at least 1-2 weeks in advance.

Q: What does the interview process look like?

A: We offer group interviews as well as individual interviews - in person and virtually - to create the greatest opportunity to interview our applicants. Our goal with all interviews is simple - to get to know each other! It is extremely important to us to create a comfortable interview space where we can learn more about you and you can learn more about our company. 

Q: Where will my interview take place?

A: Barista applicants participate in a group interview (6 or more people) held in our Coffee Lab at our downtown Hillsboro Insomnia located at 317 E Main St. Hillsboro, OR 97123. The interview is facilitated by Co-Owner Evan Aldrete and Human Resources with the hiring Managers present.

Q: What about bakery applicants?

A: Bakery applicants participate in a phone interview with the Bakery Manager and if there is potential for a good fit then a second individual interview (virtual or in person) or group interview will be scheduled with the applicant, Bakery Manager and Human Resources. If a group interview is scheduled, the same process is followed as our Barista group interviews. 

Q: What about roaster applicants?

A: Roastery applicants participate in a pre-interview questionnaire and if it is determined there is potential for a good fit then a second individual interview (virtual or in person) will be scheduled with the applicant, Roastery Manager and Human Resources. 

Q: What happens after I submit my application?

A: All communication regarding interviews and hiring decisions is done through email with our HR Coordinator so keep an eye on your inbox after your online application is submitted! If you are having technical issues with our online application or do not have consistent internet access, please visit one of our Insomnia Coffee locations and we will help you.
